Here come the racist emails
Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 06:42:48 AM PDT
Just received this one from a Republican friend of mine. Fear and racism are the only tools the Repubs have this election, so they are going to beat the crap out of this issue. Why not, it worked for Hillary? As it becomes clearer that McCain is not going to stand up on the issues, these types of fear mongering attacks are going to increase. They will soon be followed by emails espousing outright lies and will sink to a level we have not seen in this country by any generation now living.
She is simply insane!
Fri May 23, 2008 at 02:47:33 PM PDT
All of us have the thoughts that some crazy racist is going to make an attempt on Obama. I fully expect that to happen, and I think he is fully anticipating such a thing. It's part of what I admire about him, and a reflection of his bravery every time he goes out into a crowd of people to shake hands. What despicable piece of garbage would use that as a reason for staying in the race they have already lost? Nobody - right?
Assasination as justification
She is still damaging the party!
Wed May 21, 2008 at 07:27:16 AM PDT
I don't know how people can say there has been a cease fire, when she is still taking shots at Obama. Most recently in her Kentucky victory speech wherein she made the comment that SHE was still fighting for the voters of Florida and Michigan. Her clear implication here is that Obama is not. She has lost. She knows it and her campaign knows it. But she is still trying to create division in the party. Why?
Pennsylvania - be significant - end this now!
Mon Apr 21, 2008 at 08:07:40 AM PDT
Everyone here wanted to be significant and important in a Presidential primary. Now everyone is sick of the politics and fighting surrounding this campaign. Here is our chance to address both of those issues. Vote for Barack Obama and end this now!
What's really at stake in PA?
Sun Apr 20, 2008 at 08:05:16 PM PDT
The future of the party? Having been at this now for weeks, I can comfortably say that this election will have tremendous effect on the future of the Democratic Party in PA. The reason being that the split has been largely along the lines of age. As a committee man, I can tell you that few of us on the Westmoreland County Democratic Committee are under the age of 40. Almost all the committee people over 40 went with Clinton. Almost everyone under 40 went with Obama.
Westmoreland County, PA - Team #9
Wed Apr 16, 2008 at 10:43:04 AM PDT
Well, it has been about two weeks since my last post on this effort. We have put together a great team of people, almost all new to campaigning and they are now performing like veterans. A big shout out to our organizer, Carolyn, for her guidance. I just can't say enough about what a well run campaign this is. Never been associated with a campaign this together in terms of clear objectives and dedicated in terms of follow through. However, I would also acknowledge that this would not be possible absent the excitment generated by Obama.
My Obama weekend
Sun Mar 30, 2008 at 06:47:10 PM PDT
It started Friday, with Casey giving his endorsement of Obama in Pittburgh. I got the live stream from a local website. A huge way to start off this bus tour and get people even more excited than they already were. He was charismatic, charming and funny in a way that was so genuine, you would have thought he was just standing around talking to a group of friends. I was so excited about the town hall meeting I was to attend in Greensburg, I left work an hour earlier than I had planned. I wasn't getting anything done at work.
Definition of an inspirational leader
Tue Mar 18, 2008 at 03:15:38 PM PDT
It's just that simple. Obama is a man who can inspire like no other political candidate I have ever seen. His speech today was personal, intellectual and honest. He demonstrated how much he understood about this country and it's pain. He has a quality that simply cannot be faked or imitated. I now believe in him as the leader of a country that is in dire need of a leader.
She is taking the party down with her
Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 07:04:07 PM PDT
The Clintons are slime. The telephone ad and the speech about her and McCain cinched it. She couldn't care less about people, the party or this country. If she can't win nobody will! The first two ads for the Republican party are done by the Clintons. I refuse to call her a democrat. She sabotaged the party, not just Obama.
And he still manages to show up for work

Here is the incredibly disheartening vote on the Dodd Ammendment, proposing to stripping the new FISA Bill of Imunity for telecoms.
Roll Call on Dodd Ammendment
I see Obama voted in favor of it, but there something missing. What is it? Let me see. Oh there at the bottom, under "Not Voting" - Clinton (D-NY)
Democrats version of the House of Lords
Sun Feb 10, 2008 at 07:32:35 PM PDT
This was a wonderful comment by an recent article discussing the mess about to occur at this years Democratic Convention. It could get ugly I guess I am still astounded at the fact that I did not know such a system ever existed in my party. More incredible to me is the fact that it does.
I just get the feeling
Tue Feb 05, 2008 at 08:46:19 PM PDT
I am going to feel the same way 4 years from now, that my Republican friends do now. Dismayed, betrayed, completely disenchanted with my party. We have one candidate who has a chance of actually being progressive, and another who clearly is not. The only true progressive, or at least the one with the progressive platform, has been driven from the race. And it looks like the least progressive of the bunch really could win our parties nomination.
Why we must win (w/ poll)
Sun Feb 03, 2008 at 07:49:07 PM PDT
This is the exact reason that I have to admit I will vote for Clinton if we are stuck with her as our Democratic candidate.
McCain praises Roberts and Alito
Even though it will pain me beyond words to vote for another Clinton, I will do it to prevent anymore like these two from getting appointed.
Edwards falls behind again (w/ poll)
Mon Jan 28, 2008 at 03:18:08 PM PDT
Edwards is still unable to produce evidence of any campaign finance scandals. Clinton has taken a commanding lead with two scandals. Obama finally got on the board with one, with an second in the works. John Edwards just can't seem to find any fundraisors willing to be indicted and grab himself some needed publicity.
They did it again!
Thu Jan 24, 2008 at 12:55:15 PM PDT
Guess who missed another important vote. A FISA Bill that has been vehemently opposed by Dodd and Biden, but apparently not Clinton and Obama! Is this leadership? Edwards came out in support of Dodd's threat to oppose this bill at all costs. Biden backed his colleague, but Obama and Clinton are again nowhere to be found.
Roll Call Vote
What many don't get about Edwards.
Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 07:56:05 AM PDT
I read this article on Huffington this morning, and ignoring the fact that the author just comes office as an obnoxious jackass, what I think alot of people are missing is what change means in this election.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
It's not about Obama winning, it is about real change.
Unions let Edwards down
Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 11:48:36 AM PDT
How can Obama and Hillary get 30% of the union vote and Edwards get only 24%. Really? Here is the only candidate of the three that says I am unquestionably on your side, and he gets the least support.
AFL-CIO result
Peru Trade Agreement Passes Senate
Tue Dec 04, 2007 at 03:00:34 PM PDT
Incredibly it passed 77-18, with 5 cowards abstaining from the vote. Clinton, Obama, Biden, Dodd, and McKain all failed to cast a vote. I thought Clinton and Obama were all for it. Selling out the middle class is one thing the Clintons are known for, right?
